We take the 105 east to the 710 south, and the 710 is the whole story: it is the port truck corridor, carrying container traffic out of Long Beach and San Pedro, so a stretch that moves freely at 10am can crawl when the terminals are working. We check it before we set out rather than after.

Fly LGB when it goes where you are going. It is a small open-air field with short lines and a curbside you can walk to, and we run transfers there too. The Acura Grand Prix in April closes a large part of the downtown street grid for several days, because the circuit runs on public roads around Shoreline Drive and the convention centre.
