Chauffeur Service to Catalina Express at Catalina Landing
The Long Beach sailing leaves from Catalina Landing at 320 Golden Shore and reaches Avalon in about an hour, the shortest crossing Catalina Express runs from any of its three ports. The island is 22 miles offshore and they run up to 30 departures a day, year round. The parking structure sits across the way at 330 Golden Shore, and it has one property worth knowing before you drive down: it does not allow in and out access. You pay for the whole stay, and the car you left there is not available to you again until you are back from the island.
That matters more on a day trip than most people expect. Somebody boarding a cruise knows they are gone a week and treats the parking as part of the fare. A day tripper pays for a full day to use the car twice, once to arrive and once to leave, with nine hours in between where it sits behind a gate they cannot pass. And no car goes to Catalina at all, so the vehicle has exactly one job. Being dropped at the landing removes the structure, the walk and the hunt for a space on a busy sailing morning, and puts a chauffeur at the dock again when your boat comes back. You get a flat quote before the sailing and that is what you pay, with no surge pricing and no meter. CPUC regulated, TCP #45621-A.
