La Crescenta to LAX Car Service

La Crescenta sits on the floor of the Crescenta Valley with the San Gabriels behind it, and every run to LAX begins with getting off that valley floor. Foothill and the surface grid feed a small number of ramps, and which one you use decides the next half hour. From there the usual line is the 2 south through Glendale to the 134, then west to the 101 and down the 405. The alternative keeps to the 210 west and picks the 134 up further along. Your chauffeur chooses between them on the morning against live traffic, because the two roads fail on different days and rarely on the same one.

La Crescenta is among the longest runs to LAX we do, and the descent to the freeway is slower than the map suggests. Your chauffeur sets the pickup against your actual flight and the traffic that morning, then confirms the time with you the night before rather than leaving you to guess.

Normally the 2 south through Glendale to the 134, then west and down the 405. When the 2 is heavy your chauffeur takes the 210 west instead and joins the 134 further along. Both are ordinary choices here and neither is reliably better, so the decision is made on the morning from live traffic rather than fixed in advance. The part that varies least is the last stretch on the 405.
