What Changed on October 13
If you flew out of Burbank before October 13, 2026, most of your old routine no longer applies. Here is what is different, and what is not.
Terminals A and B are replaced by a single terminal. The check in hall, security and the gates are all in one place, so the old question of which terminal your airline uses no longer applies.
The old roadway mixed arriving and departing traffic together with commercial vehicles, shared ride vans and taxis. The new roadway separates them, with dedicated lanes for buses, for rideshare and for the parking structure.
Private cars dropping off and private cars collecting no longer share the same stretch of curb. That is the change most likely to alter where you meet your chauffeur, and it is the reason we confirm your exact spot with you rather than assume the old one.
The new terminal sits in the northeast quadrant of the airfield, replacing the southeast footprint the old buildings occupied. The entrance is now from Winona Avenue and Hollywood Way, so your approach and the walk from the car are both different.
All five carousels are in one indoor hall. At the old terminal bags were collected outdoors, so meeting someone off a flight in the rain or the heat is no longer part of the trip.
There are still no jet bridges and there are still 14 gates. Boarding works the way it always has at Burbank, out across the apron and up the stairs, which is worth knowing if you were expecting that to change with the building.
Where Your Chauffeur Will Be Waiting
The airport's own rule, on its Short Term Parking page: limousines and chauffeured cars may drop you off at the terminal curb, but pick up in the Short Term Parking Structure, and curbside waiting is not allowed. So on an arrival, your chauffeur meets you in the Short Term Parking Structure.
The airport has said that the new roadway separates traffic types, and that departing and arriving private cars no longer share the same curb. The airport now directs chauffeured pickups to the Short Term Parking Structure, as described above.

Yes. The new terminal has no jet bridges, so passengers still board from the apron. That is a deliberate part of the design rather than an unfinished detail, and it is one of the few parts of a Burbank departure that does not change.
Can you collect me if my flight lands late?
