Chauffeur Service to Catalina Express at Berth 95
The San Pedro sailing leaves from the Catalina Sea and Air Terminal at Berth 95, where Swinford Street meets Harbor Boulevard, and reaches Avalon in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The first thing to know is which terminal you are going to. The World Cruise Center is a few hundred metres away at Berths 91 to 93, it is much bigger, it is signposted everywhere, and it is not where your boat is. People who have only ever come down here for a cruise arrive at the wrong gate, and the day a sailing time matters is the day that costs you.
Parking at Berth 95 is more forgiving than the Long Beach alternative: the first hour is free and you are allowed in and out, so you can come back to the car during the day. We say that rather than pretend otherwise, because the reason to be driven here was never the parking. It is that Berth 95 sits inside a working port, the ticket window opens an hour before the first boat, and somebody has to solve the signage and the gates at seven in the morning while you are still finding your tickets. A chauffeur takes you to the right terminal, waits for the sailing you booked, and is there when the boat comes back. The price is agreed before you travel and it does not move, with no surge pricing and no meter. CPUC regulated, TCP #45621-A.
